Summary

October 16th Town Hall Summary

The Deep Funding Town Hall provided key updates on strategy, ecosystem developments, and ongoing innovation. Deep Funding reaffirmed its strength and forward momentum, emphasizing a clear shift toward diversification. In addition to traditional funding rounds, the ecosystem now includes RFPs, Labs, hackathons, ideation challenges, and community hubs, reflecting a broader operational scope.

A central strategic priority is expanding beyond the SingularityNET/ASI ecosystem by engaging external partners. This approach is designed to diversify funding sources, attract new communities, and position Deep Funding as a scalable platform for AI innovation. As an independent entity with its own identity, Deep Funding is better positioned to support this growth while remaining aligned with its mission of advancing beneficial AGI. In response to contributor concerns, efforts are also underway to introduce optional stablecoin payments to reduce exposure to token volatility.

The upcoming BGI Summit (October 21–23) will serve as a major engagement point, offering both physical and virtual participation. The event will feature discussions on beneficial AI, alongside hackathons and an ideation challenge focused on social impact, safety and ethics, and governance tooling.

On the technical front, a presentation on temporal computing introduced a novel approach to computation based on time-encoded data. Early developments suggest potential gains in efficiency and performance, particularly for AI-related operations, with ongoing work aimed at building a fully functional temporal computing system.

Community contributions remain central to Deep Funding’s evolution. The Review Circle highlighted advancements in automation, AI-assisted evaluation, and reviewer coordination. Looking ahead, there is interest in developing AI-powered analytical tools to improve proposal evaluation, collaboration, and ecosystem intelligence.

Overall, the session reinforced Deep Funding’s transition into a more diversified, partner-driven, and innovation-focused platform for building the future of beneficial AI.
