Onboarding Circle was created in December 2024 to address the need for improved processes for new people joining Deep Funding.

Initially, we looked at the processes for joining the DF Circles community - but onboarding covers the whole range, including people joining as proposers, voters, Hackathon participants, community hub members, partners, and more. We aim to map these processes and make them frictionless and inclusive; and we want them to interconnect, so that people in different parts of the DF community can move between roles with ease and create composite roles for themselves. We also aim to notice and address any barriers to onboarding, both for Circles and for individuals.

In short, we believe that understanding how we onboard helps us understand the whole DF community more deeply.
